우리는 살면서 언제 이름을 가장 많이 불려볼까요?
아마도 학창시절 아닐까 싶습니다.
선생님으로부터, 친구들로부터, 그리고 가족으로부터 말이죠.
하지만 어느 순간부터 이름이 아닌, 누군가의 아내나 남편, 엄마와 아빠로 불리게 됩니다.
음, 회사에 가면 직급으로 불리니, 또 회사에서도 이름을 듣긴 어렵겠네요-
정말 이제는 주민센터나 병원에서만 이름을 들을 수 있는 건가요?
그래서 이번 숭의2동 마당예술동아리 <코스모스 핀 장사래> 활동에서는 서로 이름을 불러주기로 했습니다.
우선 하얀 종이를 세 번 접어 이름표를 만들었죠.
마치 갓 학교에 입학한 것처럼요!
한 글자 한 글자 정성스레 적은 나만의 이름표를 자신 앞에 두고, 다른 분들과 마주 보았습니다.
곧 다같이 한 명 한 명 부르며 말했습니다.
"00아, 너는 어쩜 그리 예쁘니!"
그리고 대답합니다.
"고마워"
참으로 쑥스러운 말이지요, 누군가에게 이름이 불리고, 칭찬을 듣는다는 것은요.
하지만 이 날만큼은 부끄러워 하지 않기로 했습니다.
또 여러 번 번갈아가면서
좋아하는 음식은 무엇인지, 무엇을 하고 싶은지, 그리고 상대방에 칭찬을 주고 받았습니다.
그리고 대답했습니다.
"아~ 그렇구나~"
살면서 하고 싶은 말은 많고, 말을 하고 싶은 사람도 많습니다.
하지만 들어 주는 이가 하나 없죠.
숭의2동 마당예술동아리는 이 과정을 통해 하고 싶은 말도 하면서, 상대방의 말에 귀 기울여 주는 것 역시 함께 했습니다.
한 템포 기다리며 듣는다는 것은, 상대방을 더 깊이 이해할 수 있게 만드는 것 같습니다.
정말로 동아리원분들도 어린 시절로 돌아간 것 같고, 기분이 좋았다고들 하셨습니다.
누군가의 이름을 불러주고, 자신 역시 듣는다는 것은 하루 종일 기분을 좋게 만드는 것 같습니다.
오늘은 우리 모두 상냥하게 이름을 불러 주는 것으로 약속합시다!
